Do you have what it takes to win the next season of BBCAN? Casting is now open! Big Brother Canada is embarking on its 8th cross-country mission to select a new group of houseguests to star in Season 8 of Global’s smash hit reality series.
Kelowna’s newest celebrity was greeted by friends, family and fans on Wednesday night at a welcome home party.
Season 7 of Big Brother Canada is over and done. There were two Newfoundlanders on the show this year. Adam Pike and Samantha Picco didn’t come home with any money, but they did come home with each other, as their TV showmance turned into a real-life romance. NTV’s Ben Cleary reports.
CBS announced today that it’s summer reality TV show Big Brother will premiere in late June, its now-standard start date, and follow its usual three-days-per-week schedule, though with a notable schedule change.
There’s no word yet of a theme, twist, or cast, nor any mention yet from CBS about when CBS’ other highly anticipated summer show, Love Island, will be added to the schedule.
Julie Chen Moonves will return to host, and continue to remind Big Brother viewers of who Les Moonves is.
BB21—and perhaps future seasons?—does have a new, minimalist logo. Last year’s logo was atop some tropical vegetation, and included the number 20 with a house outline creating the negative space in the 0; this year’s does not include a number, but keeps the same house outline:
From seasons 1 to 14, Big Brother premiered in the first or second week of July, but since then has always begun at the end of June.
That’s true for Big Brother season 21 also: the series premiere will air over two nights, Tuesday, June 25, and Wednesday, June 26, both at 8 p.m.
After that, it will follow a slightly different schedule than last year—still airing three nights per week, but a new, later time for the Wednesday episodes:
It’s not exactly clear what will happen with the episodes the week of July 1, because the announcement skips over that week:
“Following the premiere, it will be broadcast Wednesday, June 26 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) and Sunday, June 30 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). Starting Wednesday, July 10, the show moves to Wednesdays and Thursdays (9:00-10:00 PM) with the Sunday broadcast remaining at 8:00 PM.”
I can’t imagine it skipping nine days between June 30 and July 10, so it’ll probably be on that Wednesday and Thursday.
