Chen, the wife of ousted CBS chief Les Moonves, wasn’t wearing any makeup, and her comfy attire was a far cry from the glamorous fashions fans are used to her seeing.

However, she was still sporting pricey designer duds. She carried an oversize Goyard tote that was monogrammed with her full initials, JCM.

The Big Brother host previously admitted to having double eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, early on in her career to make her ‘Asian eyes’ look bigger.

She first discussed the surgery on The Talk in 2013 during a week in which the hosts were sharing surprising revelations about themselves.

‘My secret dates back to — my heart is racing — it dates back to when I was 25 years old and I was working as a local news reporter in Dayton, Ohio,’ the Chinese-American television personality began.

‘I asked my news director over the holidays, “If anchors want to take vacations, could I fill in?” And he said, “You will never be on this anchor desk, because you’re Chinese.”

‘He said, “Let’s face it, Julie, how relatable are you to our community? How big of an Asian community do we have in Dayton?”‘ she recalled. ‘”On top of that, because of your heritage, because of your Asian eyes, sometimes I’ve noticed when you’re on camera and you’re interviewing someone, you look disinterested, you look bored.”‘

Chen started looking for another job shortly after, but she was confronted with the same issue when she met with ‘this one big-time agent’ who told her ‘the same thing.’

‘He said, “I cannot represent you unless you get plastic surgery to make your eyes look bigger,”‘ she recounted.

The agent’s advice led her to have a long conversation with her parents about whether or not she would be denying her heritage if she went through with the surgery.

‘It divided the family,’ she said. ‘Members of my family wanted to disown me if I got it done.’

Chen was passionate about her career, and she ended up having the surgery despite the rift it caused with her family.

She admitted that her career took after the surgery, and while she wondered if she did ‘give in to the man,’ she stressed that she didn’t have any regrets.

‘No one’s more proud of being Chinese than I am,’ she said. ‘And I have to live with the decisions I’ve made. Every decision I’ve made…it got [me] to where we are today, and I’m not going to look back.’

Chen was seen out and about in Los Angeles just a few days after her name was dragged into the headlines following reports her multimillionaire husband’s infant granddaughter is living in a cockroach-infested Manhattan apartment.

Moonves’ son Adam, 35, had a brief romance with former hospitality worker Gina DeMasi, who gave birth to a daughter named Ari last June.

DeMasi spoke out to reveal that Adam is currently paying $2,500 a month in voluntary child support and covering one day a week of daycare.

However, she alleges the wealthy Moonves family is refusing to pay more to support for 11-month-old Ari because they claim her former flame doesn’t work and ‘can’t afford it.’

She told Page Six: ‘Adam lives a life of luxury, he’s basically a party boy and lives in between New York and LA. He has a beautiful apartment near Union Square. But he seems fine with his daughter living in poverty.

‘There’s roaches in our apartment, a teeny tiny Chinatown box, I found a roach on her high chair this week, I can’t do laundry downstairs because there’s roaches in the washing machine.’

DeMasi added: ‘I keep the apartment super clean but I am worried about Ari’s health.’

She has lived in the apartment for years by herself, but she claimed it is not fit for a small child.

Les Moonves, who is said to be worth an estimated $700 million, took home $69 million in 2017 for his work at CBS.

He stepped down from his role in September after multiple women accused him of either forcing himself on them or being sexually inappropriate.

CBS hired two law firms to look into the allegations being made about the 69-year-old executive, who was named the president of the company in 1995 and in 2016 also became the chairman.

He has denied having any non-consensual sexual relationships.

In the wake of the scandal, Chen left her spot as host of the network’s daytime show The Talk in September 2018 while defending her husband.

She announced the news at the end of the show’s episode in a taped message, fighting back tears as she shared her decision with viewers.

Chen had not yet appeared on the show’s ninth season and said that she would be going on indefinite leave after CBS forced her husband Les to resign as CEO and chairman.

Ten days later, she made the leave definite, stating: ‘I have been at The Talk since the day it started nine years ago and the cast, crew, and staff have become family over the years. Right now I need to spend more time at home with my husband and our young son. So I have decided to leave The Talk.’
